The Midwifery & Health Sciences department supports the development of professionals for midwifery, paramedic science and operating department practice (ODP).

These occupations play a key role in today’s healthcare environment, providing essential care and support for people with a range of needs in diverse and evolving environments.

Staff also participate widely in research and professional practice, both through our research centre in maternal and infant health, and by engaging with a variety of other research centres and activities.
