Rebecca Hindley, Lecturer in Human Resources & Organisational Behaviour, Bournemouth University
Rebecca Hindley has a passion for enhancing the student experience and facilitating the development of students’ employability. She is a full-time Lecturer in the People and Organisations department within the Faculty of Management, contributing to the department through the management and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate student-centred teaching, the supervision of the department’s Peer Assisted Learning Leaders and her doctoral research into education, students' transition to Higher Education and student scholarship.
Rebecca is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. Having previously led HR functions within multi-national corporations, prior to joining BU, Rebecca is able to leverage her extensive professional network for guest speakers and draw upon her depth and breadth of experience to develop materials that improve the students understanding of business in the ‘real world'.
Bev Brackpool, Senior Recruitment Consultant, Liverpool Victoria
After spending 15 years as a Revenue Manager in the hotel industry, Bev decided to move into the world of recruitment developing a hospitality branch at a large London agency.
After relocating the Bournemouth area 13 years ago, Bev took on the role as Partner at a local hospitality recruitment company, recruiting for all Front of House positions in both UK and the Middle East. Bev then became Director of Osprey International a recruitment company dedicated in finding talented recruiters on a global scale, her key clients being in USA, Canada and Europe. Bev is currently managing the in-house recruitment team at LV= Life and Pensions
While open to other BU students, the session is designed and delivered specifically for the students participating in the Global Talent Programme. Attendance and reflection from the session allow students to gain core credit towards their Skilled Practitioner badge.
