As a Postgraduate Research student, we appreciate that the start of term and your time here will be different to that of our postgraduate taught and undergraduate students.
This page will help you understand what is relevant to you and to share any extra information you may need.
Register for your course
It’s important that you complete online registration before you start your course – emails with instructions on how to do this will be sent after your place at BU is confirmed, usually mid-August or early January depending on when your studies will start.
Week one, induction and enrolment
You will receive an email soon after your registration email with further details about your official start date and induction, which will consist of faculty-based and Doctoral College based activities.
Please read the What to bring information on our new students webpages for an overview of what to expect and guidance on what to bring to your enrolment session.
Timetables are not provided for postgraduate researchers, however, you will have meetings with your supervisor and access to workshops throughout the year to support you. Once prompted, please contact your supervisor to arrange your inital meeting.
