As well as accepting AS and A-levels, there are a range of qualifications we accept for entry on to our undergraduate courses. Specific entry requirements are listed on each individual course page.

For Bachelor’s degrees

As a general rule, we require a minimum of two A-levels (or equivalent) for entry onto a Bachelor’s degree. All courses also require applicants to have at least a grade C/4 in GCSE English and Mathematics. We also accept English and Maths qualifications equivalent to GCSE, such as Level 2 Functional Skills.

We accept a wide range of qualifications, including the Access to HE Diploma, BTEC Qualifications, T-levels, Cambridge Technical Qualifications, the International Baccalaureate, NVQs and Apprenticeships. This list is not exhaustive and we always advise making an application so that we can assess your qualifications fully, even if it's not listed.

Whilst academic qualifications are important, they are only part of what we consider when assessing your application. As part of our admissions process, we also consider:

  • Any work or experience relevant to the course you have applied for
  • Your personal statement
  • Your enthusiasm for the subject and desire to succeed on the course
  • The references provided with your application
  • Personal achievements.

If you do not meet the traditional entry requirements, in some cases we may invite you to have an interview as part of the selection process.
