Fiona Lake studied English and History, graduating in 1988.
She said, “I met Rich in 1985 when I was a fresher and he was in his final year (I was warned by a friend to steer clear of final year students!) I first saw him during RAG (Raising and Giving) week and then one of my flatmates went out with him briefly. We were together by the end of my first term and I remember dancing in the car park at the back of the student bar, waiting for my Dad to pick me up for the Christmas break. 'Do They Know It's Christmas' was playing in the background. He promised to come to Somerset to see me and he did.
Fast forward 37 years and we're still together. We moved back to the Bournemouth area and had our family here – three gorgeous daughters and our labradoodle, Flossie.”
